I always knew a corporate career was not in future. In high school, i thrived in classes like art, music and creative writing. I felt happy and confident in activities with the art club and the photography club. I felt felt smothered and out of place in courses where i had to conform to rules without any room for creativity. When all of her friends started applying for college, i just could not see myself taking that path.
I knew a traditional college would not be right for me. I also knew i needed advanced education to create the kind of life i wanted, and preferably close to Nairobi, to stay close to my family. I was not exactly sure what career path to take, but i knew it had to be one that let me express myself.
Since i was small, I enjoyed styling hair and experimenting with makeup. i thought a job in the beauty industry would be fun.
An internet search for “TOP BEAUTY COLLEGE ,” brought Beauty to My attention. Once i started my program, i knew it would take hard work, dedication and passion to succeed. I worked hard, applied myself and made sure I mastered every concept and technique my teachers gave me
After completing my program, i took my licensing exams and passed with flying colors. I was officially a cosmetologist and ready to start my career.
With my portfolio, professional recommendations and license in hand, I made a list of the salons i would like to work in. i emailed a resume and cover letter and now successfully I secured a job, my future dreams is to own my business in the same industry..
